Arab-Israeli, Israeli-American couple launch Middle East news program

An Arab-Israeli and Israeli-American Christian couple launched a news program on the Middle East on February 2.

The show, titled “Headlines with the Haddads,” features Arab-Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad and Social Lite Creative CEO Emily Schrader discussing the latest news in the Middle East while playing up their real-life relationship; the two are engaged to marry later in 2022.

Their first episode features an interview with Ellie Cohanim, the former Deputy Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, and Haddad, a native of Nazareth, criticizing Amnesty International’s Feb. 1 report alleging Israel is engaging in apartheid. Their second episode, which airs Feb. 16, will feature Jason Greenblatt, President Donald Trump’s former Middle East adviser.

New episodes will air Wednesdays on Instagram and YouTube and will be around 20-30 minutes long.

“We see that the media often gives an incomplete picture of what is happening in Israel, and in addition, many in the West do not understand the impact of events in the region and how it affects them,” Schrader said in a statement. . “It’s time to change that.”

Haddad also said in a statement: “It is essential that we raise awareness among the whole of Israeli society, which of course includes both Arabs and Jews, and that we help to present a broader image of Israel from a better way. Who better to talk about these issues than an Israeli Arab like me?

You will love our round table.
