Archon Leaders Interviewed on Romanian National TV Channel – Archon News Article

During the visit of the religious freedom mission from June 9 to 12, 2022 in Romania by a delegation of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Order; Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis, Vice National Commander of the Order; Father Alexander Karloutsos, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Spiritual Advisor of the Order; and archon candidate Dr. Nawaf Salameh were interviewed on Romanian television. “Father Alex”, as he is affectionately known around the world, was interviewed by Cristina Cileacu, the show’s producer Diplomatic Pasaport (Diplomatic passport). The interview took place in English. Father Alex, who recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, and Ms. Cileacu discussed faith, religious freedom, tolerance and spirituality. They also explored aspects of Father Alex’s relationships with eight US presidents, and in particular his close forty-year friendship with President Joe Biden. Dr. Limberakis was interviewed on the Romanian TV program Universul Credinţei (Universe of Faith). During his talk, Dr. Limberakis explained the role and mission of the Archons, as well as the origin of the specific term Archon in Orthodox ecclesiastical terminology. A third interview included Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis, vice national commander of the Order; Father Alex; and Dr. Salameh, who is Chairman of the Alexandrion Group and FOUNDER of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation. The program including these interviews was also broadcast on the program Universul Credinţei.

The interviews were conducted in English (except that of Dr. Salameh, which was conducted in Romanian and subtitled in English) and broadcast on two Romanian television channels, including TVR1, the national television and radio network. Each of these interviews was broadcast on two Romanian television channels, including TVR1, the national television and radio network. They have now been uploaded to the Alexandrion Group YouTube channel. The Alexandrion Foundation is a strong advocate for religious freedom and open dialogue between interreligious communities.

Dr. Limberakis, Judge Bozonelis and Father Alex were in Romania as part of a delegation that also included Archon John Mindala and Nicholas Kass. The delegation arrived in Bucharest on Thursday June 9, accompanied by a delegation composed of Dr. Maria A. Limberakis and Ms. Helen Bozonelis.

During this religious freedom mission, the Archons and their associates met with some of the key religious and political leaders of the respective countries to discuss the most important issues of international religious freedom. The mission traveled from Romania to Bulgaria and ended in Greece.
