Dan Walker revealed he forgot his wardrobe for today’s edition of Channel 5 News.
The television presenter tweeted that he left his shirt and pants at home and left without them.
He then clarified that a worker at The Waterman pub had come to his rescue: “I forgot my trousers and TV shirt today so thanks to Nash from @WatermanCam for lending me an iron and a glass of ice water. What a man.”

Walker then confirmed that he would be on Channel 5 News as usual: “We’re live on 5, at 5, talking about the weather @5_News.”
Walker recently joined Channel 5 after working for the BBC since 2008. With his new channel, Walker will co-host Channel 5 News with Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije and also ahead of a number of other programs for the broadcaster.
the old Soccer Focus the presenter spoke to his former Breakfast co-host Sally Nugent on her decision to join Channel 5: “I’ve never been motivated by money in any job I’ve ever taken, and while I loved working at BBC breakfast and everyone working on the show, it’s a fantastic opportunity to work with a brilliant team at Channel 5.”
After announcing his departure from Breakfast, Walker was shocked by the messages he received wishing him good luck: “I should also say thank you very much for so many beautiful messages yesterday. I said to you, ‘I don’t think anyone will care. ‘ But I got so many beautiful messages from BBC breakfast viewers and many other people too.”
Walker started hosting Breakfast in 2016 with Louise Minchin before partnering with Nugent following Minchin’s departure in 2021.
In addition to its functions on BreakfastWalker has been recognized for his sports coverage, animation Soccer focus and The NFL Show.
He has also previously competed on Come dance strictly.
