To inspire and inform you, Assembly News Show features daily studio dialogue

Presenting a “talk show” format with WCC central committee moderator Dr Agnes Abuom and host of the local welcoming committee Bishop Petra Bosse-Huber, Evangelical Church in Germany, the first 15-minute episode features a look back at the WCC’s 10th Assembly in Busan, Korea, and the journey to the WCC’s 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe.

The two moderators are interviewed by the Reverend Dr. Angelique Walker-Smith, member of the WCC’s central committee, who, describing the broadcast, says: “We’re going to start the conversation in Busan and take the conversation all the way to Karlsruhe.

Abuom reflects on the trip from Busan to Karlsruhe. “As we began to wrap up Assembly 10, what really stuck in my mind was the message of the assembly in which the call to make a pilgrimage of justice and peace really resonated,” she said.

Ms Bosse-Huber recalled her positive impression of the Korean host churches at the WCC’s 10th Assembly. “For me it was the first Assembly of the WCC, and I remember the wonderful hospitality of the churches and the people in South Korea. It was a great experience for me and for many, many other people.
